Chocolate Guinness Cake


Coffee + stout = 1. Be certain that your Guinness is space temperature. It makes it simpler to integrate into the batter.

INGREDIENTS

  • Cooking, for pan
  • 1 c. Guinness stout, in room temperature
  • 10 tbsp. melted butter
  • 3/4 c. unsweetened cocoa powder, and more
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp. Pure vanilla extract
  • 2 thirds flour
  • 2 tsp. Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt


FOR FROSTING

  • Block cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons. butter, softened
  • 1 tsp. Pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp. kosher salt

DIRECTIONS

  • In a large bowlwhisk to blend sugar free butter, cocoa powder, and Guinness. Add vanilla, eggs, and sour cream to bowl and whisk until no lumps remain.
  • Add to Guinness mix and whisk until smooth.
  • Add sugar and beat until fluffy and light. Add salt and vanilla and blend until blended. Frost top of cake.
